Get toKnow Me

I am currently the Director of Broadcast and Art Production at McCann in Detroit, where I oversee the day-to-day operations of broadcast commercials, photography, and content production for North America, as well as global work originating from the Detroit office. My role encompasses all aspects of production, including managing relationships with GM purchasing, handling legal issues, coordinating bidding processes, and solving a wide range of production challenges.

Previously, I served as Vice President and Head of Production at GlobalHue, one of the largest minority-owned agencies in the U.S. and the agency of record for Jeep. During my tenure, I produced the 2014 Super Bowl spot for the Chrysler 200 featuring Bob Dylan.

My career also includes a long-standing role as Vice President and Executive Producer at Doner, where I worked from 1994 onwards. I brought my extensive experience to some of the most recognized national brands, including Lowe's, Cox Communications, Coke, Minute Maid, Blockbuster, Del Taco, Autotrader.com, B.P. Oil International, Motrin, and US Cellular, among others. Before joining Doner, I worked in the automotive sector at Bozell Worldwide on Jeep National, Jeep Dealer, Chrysler National, and Dodge International accounts.

I also have experience working at mid-size advertising agencies, having served as the Executive Producer and Director of Broadcast Production for Simons Michelson Zieve Advertising (SMZ) in Troy, Michigan, from 1989 to 1994. In this role, I was responsible for the broadcast production of SMZ’s major clients, focusing on local and regional marketing needs for brands such as AAA Michigan, Big Boy Restaurants, Cadillac Dealer Groups, Detroit Edison, Jacobson's Department Stores, NuVision Optical, Ladbroke DRC (Race Track), and Kelly Assisted Living, a division of Kelly Services.

My background extends to the production company side as well. I worked on live-action, special effects, and animation projects for Magic Lantern Productions, a full-service commercial film production company in Farmington Hills, Michigan. During this time, I contributed to three feature films, including "Harry and the Hendersons," "Evil Dead II" (yes, there was a third), and "Moontrap."

Throughout my career, I have been honored with several industry awards, including a Silver Clio, a Bronze Lion, and recognition from Communication Arts, along with various Caddys/D-Show and RAC awards.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Michigan State University. I currently reside in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with my wife and two children. Outside of work, I am an avid runner and reader, though I have yet to master doing both simultaneously.
